Messy buns look great for special occasions and look chic when paired with a saree. Go for a braided low messy bun, start by braiding just one side of hair and pul it all together in a messy low bun at the nape . Dont forget to use a hair spray to hold the bangs all day.

#13 Open hair with a twisted side for medium length hair

I love keeping things natural and simple and this wavy open hair side with a side twist is my favourite. I style my hair like this majority of times for a soft feminine look and it suits breezy saree looks nicely. Just twist your hair  on the side and clip it securely with bobby pins. Lightly curl the lower strands of hair for a chic look.

#14 Low bun hairstyle with flicks

If you like the idea of flicks framing your face then go for a loose low bun after middle parting your hair. Your hair bun can have flicks in front on side or both sides as per your liking. Use hair jewelry like cute side clips of huge tika to beautify your loose low bun hairstyle even more.

#15 Traditional twisted bun hairstyle for saree with flowers

Hair middle parted and twisted to form a low bun goes well with traditional silk sarees.  Sonam Kapoor styles this traditional saree look to perfection by adding a pair of jhumkas and fresh flowers in hair.  This twisted bun hairstyle looks beautiful but is simple to do as you have to just part you hair from middle and twist them both the sides and then tie it loosely in a bun at the nape. This hairstyle tends to look pretty extravagant so it is better suited for clean cut no frills blouse designs.

If you dont want to add mogra flowers then accessorize you hair bun with pearls.

More Tips for styling hair with saree

- Hairstyles with flicks can look chic but they can give an unruly look after a certain time period in summer, so choose your hairstyle wisely keeping the weather in mind.
- Choose your hairstyle keeping your blouse in mind. If you have a nice back design in blouse go for a high bun to flaunt your back.
- With one shouldered blouse go for a side swept hairdo to create a visual balance.
- Neckline of your blouse plays an important role in deciding your hairstyle. Tight high bun with a deep neck blouse is a big No. Opt for half up half down hairstyle or open hair in curls for V neck blouses.
- If you want to flaunt an off shouldered blouse with your saree go for vintage curls or low buns.
- Also keep your sari drape in mind. A contemporary drape means you should opt for a wispy updo or simple open hair. For a traditionally draped saree go for a classic buns or braided hairdos with flowers.
- Braided hairstyles are best for sarees paired with high neck blouse designs .
- Hair spray is very important to hold hairstyle in place so it stays put all through an event. invest in one which can hold your hair and add a bit of shine too.
- If baby hair is your concern then try this simple hack to tame them. Use an inexpensive clear mascara and comb through unruly fly aways to keep them in place. You can even try spraying a toothbrush with hairspray to smooth down baby hair.
- Try not to wash hair on the day when you have to attend an event. Washing hair makes it frizzy and very difficult to style. It is best to wash hair a day before especially if you dont have a very oily scalp.
- You have to be extra careful if you are using fresh flowers in your hair because they look very untidy when they wilt away.  Store your flowers properly in a fridge before an occasion and remove to wear only after your bun has been done. When shopping for mogra strands look for closed mogra buds .
