Kurtis are like the most spotted Indian wear these days. They are comfortable , affordable and easy to style making it a favorite with women of all ages and walks of life. Pairing kurtis with leggings is like the most common way to go about it and some of us pair it with jeans, salwars and chudidaars too but any more experiments with kurtas arent really done . So here i present to you simple chic ways to re invent the kurta this season.
Kurti with a cape style jacket: Capes are hot in trend these days with designers like Anamika khanna and Ridhi Mehra including capes in their designer outfits but you dont really need an occasion to flaunt the cape trend , just add a contrasting long (preferably sheer) cape style jacket to your simple kurta legging look and you are done. effortlessly trendy!

kurti with dhoti salwar : Dhoti pants are another hot runway trend kurtas could be paired with. Dhoti a south indian mens wear is now made its way into womens wardrobe and the pleated desi style effect it gives is simple cool.
kurta with palazzos: This is my favourite way to style kurtas at present. Many btown celebs are going with this styling option and this has inspired me to join the bandwagon! Iam pairing a lot of simple or plain kurtas with printed palazzos from rain and rainbow and Aujjesia.
Both short and long kurtas can be paired with palazzos but make sure your kurtas are straight cut ones to let your palazzos stand out.
If you want to pair palazzos with anarkali style or angrakha kurtas then make sure they are short almost like peplum tops.
Kurta with sheer paneled leggings : I recently spotted some cool sheer paneled leggings on my recent shopping trip. These are basically leggings with a lace panel
Kurta with skirt: This is super fun way to wear a kurta giving out boho vibes. Pair flared out full length skirts with short or long kurta for a breezy summery outfit .
Even celebs like kangana ranaut are pairing skirts with kurtas these days.
Kurta like a dress: kurtas like all other styles of clothing have reinvented themselves and a lot of new edgy styles are available these days which can double as a dress and be worn without and bottom wear. The trick with wearing a kurta like a dress is to choose the right style and pair it with right accessories
Kurtas which can be best worn like a dress are ones which have a defined waist or digital prints , or come with with ruffled necklines . Of course you cant end up wearing straight kurtas like a dress so anarkali or A line kurtas are best way to go forward. Also asymmetrical hemline kurtas will look amazing like a dress.
If your kurta has too much of flare you ad a thin metallic belt to cinch the waist and create a fusion look.
For footwear go in for boots or pumps to balance out the bottomless look.
